TPE Introduction
Thermoplastic elastomer is shortened as TPE which is also named as thermoplastic rubber (TPR), including a series of various thermoplastic elastomers. SBS, SEBS, TPO, TPV and TPU etc. are commonly used. Thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) is a new type of polymer material between rubber and resin and has the similar characteristics of vulcanized rubber. Without vulcanization, the material can be molded by the common plastic forming equipments. For example, the similar vulcanized rubber products are made by such ways as injection, extrusion, plastic blowing and pressing etc. which greatly simplifies the processing process, enhances the production efficiency and reduces the processing cost. Moreover, the leftover materials can be fully reclaimed, which shows its friendliness towards the environment.

In recent years, TPE has got its fast development throughout the world and replaced the application of PVC in terms of green environmental protection. Its production output witnessed an obvious increase. TPE has been another new material in the rubber industry, which is called another technical revolution of material and technique in the rubber industry.

TPE can not only replace the vulcanized rubber products and PVC but also have the plastic change its properties. That TPE has the dual functions of rubber and plastic as well as its extensive properties makes it widely used in the field of industry.
